Helping your child succeed.
Improving your child's speech and language skills can help them get the most out of the
excellent education they are receiving at The First Academy.

For the past five school years, I have been blessed with the opportunity of working
hand-in-hand with students, teachers, and parents at TFA.  Together, we have seen
struggling students begin to excel in both their academic and social lives

At Personal Best Speech, I am committed to providing quality therapy services and
strong support for parents.

Along with developing customized speech-language therapy programs at school, we
provide parents with resources and activities that can be used to continue therapy at
home.  Together, we can achieve desired results with your child.

I take great pride in our partnership with The First Academy family, and would value the
opportunity to work with your child.

Let's get started!
Frequently Asked Questions
(c) 2002-2009  Personal Best Speech Services, Inc.
How do I get started with speech therapy for my child?
The first step would be to contact us for a clinical evaluation.  This evaluation will help
us to better understand what issues are causing difficulty for your child.  The
evaluation takes approximately an hour and costs $200.  The evaluation will usually
include a hearing screening to rule out any hearing difficulties that may be
effecting your child's communication.  You will receive a clinical report with results and
recommendations following the evaluation.  I will work with your child's teacher to find
the best time to pull them out for the testing.
How long will it take to improve my child's speech?
Every child's situation is unique.  We will, however, be able to set goals for progress
following the results of the evaluation.  These recommendations will be discussed with
parents and will also be included in the clinical report.
What about insurance?
Some speech therapy services are covered by certain insurance plans.  While we are
a private pay company, many of our parents have successfully submitted claims for
reimbursement.  We provide our parents with the paperwork requested by their
insurance carriers to better support claims.
I am concerned about my child missing class.
I work with the teachers at TFA to find the best times to pull each individual student.
We will work together to find regular therapy times where your child will not be missing
valuable subject area instruction.
